Musical Nonsense

We recently had the opportunity to head into the studio and record some songs.  We had SO MUCH FUN.  Too much fun, probably.  Which you can probably tell from this track:

While this one was not serious, we were able to get quite a few that are, and we’re really proud of them.  More samples coming soon!

The Big Reveal

BigReveal

We’re getting ready for a fun bridal show this Sunday that we participated in last year called The Big Reveal.  It’s Kansas City’s only traveling bridal show.  There will be vendors of every kind in five different popular wedding venues in downtown Kansas City–everything from caterers, photographers, spas, and wedding cake specialists to us!  The fair will provide limos, trolleys, or a party bus for you to get from place to place easily.  Click here to go to their site and see all of the exciting details and to purchase tickets ($10).

We’ll be at Hotel Phillips, which is absolutely gorgeous, taking requests.  Even if you’re not getting married, head on over for a concert.  We’d love to see you!

Here’s some quartet trivia for you…

A traditional string trio is made up of one violin, one viola and one cello. If another instrument is added to a string trio, then the type of quartet takes on the name of the added instrument. A traditional string quartet consists of two violins, one viola and one cello, so it should technically be called a violin quartet. With Forte, we decided to add an oboe to the traditional string trio, making it an oboe quartet.
